Meditation is a prescription for a happier mind and kinder heart. I often have trouble relaxing or keeping my mind quiet. A couple of techniques are helpful. While sitting in my room with my favorite candle burning, I will sit with my spine erect and breathe deeply. Erasing my mind of all thoughts and just focusing on the breath. If you think only of the breathe, really feeling the lungs expand and relax your mind will stop wandering. After months of practice, I have been able remain still for almost 30 minutes. Meditation is a good escape from a busy work week and normal life stresses. CommentsLeave a Reply |
